The John Pennycuff Memorial Apartments is an 88-unit seven-storey brick rental building located in the sought-after Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. The property is composed of 28 studio apartments, 48 one-bedroom apartments, and 12 two-bedroom apartments. The project qualified for development funding under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, which is administered through the Chicago Housing Authority. The namesake of the building, John Pennycuff, was a leader of the neighborhood’s LGBT community and during his lifetime was an advocate for affordable fair housing.
